Practices, Parking

Hey Sharks Families,

It was truly great to get back in the water after almost 2 years without swim team.  Everyone was excited and ready to get back in the swing of things bright and early this past Saturday.  Lets keep the excitement up as we head into our first dual meet of the season this upcoming Saturday!

A couple of notes to pass on for this weeks practices.

Parking - The HOA has taken some complaints about the parking situation.  We ask that everyone park in the parking lot first, but if you have to park on the side street please park on the side closest to the pool only.  Do not park on the opposite side as it creates a narrow lane for cars to get through.  It also creates a safety hazard with the kids crossing the street.  If you could park in the pool parking lots or the baseball field parking lot first it would be greatly appreciated.

Practice Viewing - After discussions with the HOA and knowing how the NWAL insurance works, we ask that you continue to not be inside the pool area during practices.  The only people covered are those actively participating in the practice, so coaches, swimmers and board members (and those that have business with the board members) are covered by insurance.  If someone who is not one of these people gets hurt inside the pool area during practice time neither the HOA insurance nor the NWAL insurance will cover any injuries or damage to you.  The front gate to the pool will be open for your kids to get into the pool area, but please send them in and wait outside the fence.  If you want to watch from behind the back fence as you have done this week that is fine, but please do not enter the pool area.

Thank you for your cooperation with these matters!  More to come about the upcoming meet this Saturday!

Thanks,

Sharks Board
